Step into History Walking Tour

<p>Explore the city of Lowell through a ranger guided walk. Discover the many exciting topics that make Lowell special. From the natural environment to the Industrial Revolution to urban renewal, the city of Lowell has something for everyone.<br /><br /><strong>The Step into History Walking Tour is offered daily at 10:00 a.m. AND 1:00 p.m.<br /><br />Attendees should plan to meet at the Visitor Center front desk (246 Market Street) 15-minutes prior to the tour start time.</strong><br /><br />Visitors should plan for a 45-minute tour, all of which will be spent on your feet. Visitors can expect to walk as much a 1-mile on paved paths and are encouraged to bring water. This tour is free. Day of registration can be made at the Visitor Center front desk.</p>

Lokalizacja: This tour begins at the Park Visitor Center (246 Market Street). Validated parking is available at the Hamilton Canal Innovation District parking garage at 350 Dutton Street, Lowell. Parking in this garage (only) is available to National Park visitors at no cost provided they obtain a valid parking voucher at either the Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center at 246 Market Street, or at the Boott Cotton Mills Museum at 115 John Street.

Riverboat Tour

<p>Join a ranger for a 60-minute guided experience along the Merrimack River on the Francis Cabot Lowell Riverboat. Experience Lowell from a different perspective and discover the stories of the people who made the river their home throughout the centuries. Take in the view at the Pawtucket Falls Dam and learn about how Lowell's landscape changed and developed around it.</p>

Late Night at the Museum: Creating a National Park

<p>Visit the Boott Cotton Mills Museum after hours and experience the historic weave room, all free of charge. Feel the beat of the looms as you step back in time and learn about the history of Lowell's industrial revolution. Explore the museum with a new spin, seeing some of the collections of the park.</p> <p>This free event is part of the Late Night at the Museum series, offered June through October. Visit the Boott Cotton Mills Museum after-hours on the third Thursday of each month to experience the museum in a way in a new light.</p>

Pawtucket Power Walk

<p>Looking for an energizing walk as well as exploration of an engineering marvel? Join Lowell National Historical Park for a brisk walk to the Pawtucket Gatehouse and explore this symbol of Lowell's engineering prominence. Come join us on Saturday, August 29th from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.</p> <p>Meet staff at the Boott Cotton Mills Museum, 115 John Street, for this 3-mile round trip walk along the Lowell Riverwalk to the Pawtucket Gatehouse. This event is free and no advance registration is required. We walk rain or shine! Please dress for the weather and bring a water bottle.</p> <p>Please note that the Pawtucket Gatehouse is not accessible and visitors will be required to walk up and down a few stairs to enter and exit the gatehouse during this tour.</p>

Mindful Weaving Workshop

Whether you need a break from the day-to-day bustle or are looking to discover a new peaceful past time, Mindful Weaving Workshops offer a serene setting to unwind while weaving on our handlooms. Instructors will be available to assist for those who have never woven before, and our experienced weavers will be set up for success with pattern options to experiment with.</div> <div class="xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs"> </div> <div class="x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s">This program is intended for ages 16 and up.
