Catoctin Mountain Park announces temporary closures August 8 - 16, 2026

Due to increased security measures, portions of Catoctin Mountain Park will be closed from approximately 8:00 a.m. on August 8, 2026. Closures expected to be in place until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 16. All trails, parking lots and public use areas will remain open. Park Central Road will be closed between the Hog Rock Parking Lot and the Camp Greentop entrance.
