Geology Walk with VIP Greg

<p>Join volunteer geologist, Greg, for a geology walk at Ranger's Delight. The walk will begin at 9:00am and will conclude between 10:00am and 10:30am.</p> <p>Ranger's Delight is an easy to moderate, 0.66 mi. round-trip trail. Park in the designated area on the west side of the park road, one half mile north of the Montanan state line. Hillsboro Ranch Tour

<p>Join Volunteers Mike Bridgeman and Steve Kenney for guided tours of Hillsboro, MT.</p> <p>Tours will start at 11 AM and go until 2 PM, weather dependent.</p>

Yoga at the Pond

<p>Join Club Dauntless and Bighorn Canyon for Yoga on the Pond.</p> <p>Participants will enjoy yoga lead by Dauntless instructors along the shore of the fishing pond.  Yoga will start at 9 AM.  Bring your yoga matt! </p> <p>Participants should bring a yoga matt or blanket, water, snacks, sunscreen, water shoes, and appropriate weather clothing.</p>

Fishing Friday

<p>Join Ranger Jenna at the Visitor Center Fishing Pond from 9 to noon. This is a great time for people new to fishing to gain some skills with the help of park staff and volunteers.</p> <p>Don't have any equipment? No worries. There will be a limited supply of fishing equipment provided. All you need to bring is your Wyoming fishing license (required), snacks and water (optional), and sun protection (optional).</p>

Lokalizacja: The Cal S. Taggert Visitor Center is located on the junction of US HWY 14A and WY 310 on the east side of Lovell, WY. The fishing pond can be accessed by following the sidewalk from the parking lot to behind the building.

Driftwood Painting

<p>While the IndyCars get ready to <em>drift</em> around the America 250 Grand Prix, come celebrate the Kick-Off of National Park week with our own kind of <em>drift</em>... Driftwood!</p> <p>Join AIS Intern Natalie at the Horseshoe Bend Picnic Area for driftwood painting! Collect driftwood from the surrounding area and express yourself by creating a free work of art and souvenir all rolled into one!</p> <p>Natalie will be at Horseshoe Bend from 10:00am to 12:00pm.</p>

Park Service Appreciation Clean-Up

<p>Show the National Park Service some love this National Park Week and help keep Bighorn Canyon Clean! Join AIS Intern Charlie for a parkwide clean-up.</p> <p>Meet at  10 AM at Horseshoe Bend for assigned areas.</p> <p>The parkwide clean-up will start at 10 AM and go until 1 PM. Participants should bring work gloves, water, snacks, sunscreen, good shoes, and appropriate weather clothing.  Trash bags will be supplied.</p>

Astro Landscape Photography Workshop

<h4>Join Ranger Zach and learn more about Astro Landscape Photography on September 12th.</h4> <p>Learning to use your camera? Does you phone have dark skies mod that you want to try out? Ranger Zach will be hosting a limited astro-photography workshop September 12th, 2026, from 8:30pm to 10:30pm at the Devil Canyon Overlook.</p> <p>We will explore the art of taking dark skies photos, how our eyes and cameras work in the dark, and what you can do with your images to help dark skies.</p> <p><strong>This workshop will be limited to 15 participants. To register, call the Bighorn Canyon Visitor Center at 307-548-5406 or stop by during normal operating hours.</strong></p> <p><em>DISCLAIMER: This event must have a minimum of 5 participants.
